As part of the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 2019 Collection, Nike teamed up Ethan Ellis for the Jordan 14 Retro Doernbecher (2019). Ethan’s design pays homage to his favorite team, the TCU Horned Frogs, and the people and places that were a part of his health journey.
This Jordan 14 features a black suede and violet upper reptilian-textured with metallic detailing. The number 6 on the heel tab represents his heart surgeries, while the laces feature the hospitals where he received care. A translucent outsole and customized name tags on the tongues completes the design. These sneakers released in December of 2019 and retailed for $200.
